About EggiEggi is a print cultural magazine for girls ages 8–14 about the design of girlhood. Published biannually and free from advertising, each issue examines the objects, spaces, and systems that shape girls' lives — and invites girls to shape the world in return.
Eggi is made to be read, revisited, and kept.
About the EditorElisa Kim is a designer, educator, and the founder and editor in chief of Eggi Magazine.
She spent nearly fifteen years teaching design and material culture at the university level—directing the Architecture Program at Smith College and leading design studios at Washington University in St. Louis. She has shown work internationally, including at the Venice Biennale and at design fairs in Copenhagen and Milan.
She lives in Brooklyn with her two daughters, and is making Eggi for them—and for every girl who deserves a better map of the world than the one that’s been drawn.
